About Ai

Hi! My name is Ai Britton and I am a UK Registered Specialist Dietitian and Fitness Professional. My career has always been in the specialist field of diabetes and cardiovascular health since 2013 in both the NHS and private sector, and have been expanding my expertise into cardiometabolic health, women’s health and more. My passion is to help treat people with long term conditions but also to prevent further health problems using lifestyle medicine.

How can I help?

  • Using the latest evidence-based nutrition research, I can support you in improving your overall health, including managing blood glucose levels and diabetes.

  • Your diet, lifestyle, and health history will be assessed in detail to create the most effective plan for your individual needs and goals.

  • If relevant, we can review your blood glucose/cholesterol profile together to help you better understand your patterns and identify areas for improvement.

  • We will explore strategies to reduce the risk of future health complications and support long-term health, including diabetes management where appropriate.

  • I will guide you through a range of dietary approaches to help improve health outcomes, including better blood sugar control.

  • You will receive education and clear guidance to help you understand diabetes, nutrition, and other lifestyle factors that may impact your health, along with written resources and factsheets.

  • You’ll gain practical tools and realistic strategies to support long-term lifestyle changes and sustainable health improvements.

  • Where appropriate, I can support healthy weight management to improve overall wellbeing and reduce risk factors linked to diabetes and other conditions.

  • You will receive a personalised nutrition plan tailored to your lifestyle, preferences, and health needs.

  • Ongoing support and follow-up recommendations will be provided to help you stay motivated, track progress, and adjust your plan as needed.

A bit about Diabetes

Diabetes is a condition where the glucose levels in your blood rise. Insulin, is a hormone made by the pancreas which helps to get food from the blood into your cells to be used for energy. When you have diabetes, the insulin in your body does not work very well or is insufficiently produced which leads to higher glucose levels in the blood. This is where diet and lifestyle changes, sometimes along with medication can help.
